What is the Rapture?
Behold I come quickly.
The rapture is when Jesus Christ returns to remove the church (believers in Christ) from the earth. The rapture is described in 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1Corinthians 15:50-54 below. Believers who have died will have their bodies resurrected and, along with believers who are still living, will meet the Lord in the air. This will all occur in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye.

16For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words. (1Thes. 4:16-18)
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. … then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” (1 Cor. 15:51-54)
When is the Rapture?
We know it will be in the end times at the time of the 7 year Tribulation which is roughly now (to see what End Times are Click Here; to see what events are coming Click Here) . The bible doesn’t give us an exact time because God wants us to be watching and waiting for Him. Some believe that there will be one Rapture at the final trumpet (1 Cor. 15:52) Many bible scholars believe there will actually be two raptures: one for the first fruits (those that are ready and watching and waiting for His coming) and the second for those that are perfected by the tribulation. (During the Tribulation Christians will either be beheaded for their faith or will learn to rely solely on Him for survival. Those that are beheaded will of course be with Him in Heaven. Those that are still alive at His coming will be raptured.) But we know for sure that he WILL come for His church and we wait in earnest expectation of this. We also know that He will come BEFORE God’s wrath is poured out upon the earth. So while the tribulation will be difficult, it will be nothing compared to the wrath of God and judgement coming upon this earth.
The Lord has said that we don’t know the time, but we do know the season…and this is the season! That is, He is coming VERY soon. He is a living God and a speaking God…He speaks to us daily in our prayer times with Him and also through prophets. He spoke the message below to Kevin Jung on December 2nd, 2015:
“I am coming soon, prepare your souls. When I move, I move quickly. In a flash, a twinkling of an eye. I will remove my flock from harms way. Be ready – make yourselves and your family ready to travel, for I am coming soon. Keep your lamps full. Reject the things of this world. Come to repentance and stay repented. Pray without ceasing for I draw near. Pure chaos will come soon, even at the door. Do not fear the things to come. I have you and no one shall snatch you away from me. My kingdom is ready, prepare for my coming. Tell the flock to prepare for time is short, truly short. Love one another no matter how you are treated, love. Humble yourself for I will lift you up. There is no place for pride in My kingdom. Don’t look back. Take Lot’s wife for an example. She transgressed and became a pillar of salt. Do not look back, you need only look toward Me. Holy is My kingdom and holy you must be to enter My kingdom. No spot or blemish will enter.”
This summarizes it better than I could!
So who will be raptured? Can we assume that all believers will be raptured regardless of condition? Absolutely not! The Lord is coming for a very specific people – those who love and honour Him. You will not be raptured from the tavern, from the casino, from the strip club or from a life of denial.

Here are the key points of who will be raptured:
- Those who KNOW and LOVE Jesus Christ. No-one else. If you do not know Him Click Here and take action now! Don’t miss this!
- Those whose only motive in life is LOVE.Your worth is not in beautiful clothing, houses and cars. All these things will be stripped from you and the only thing left standing will be your virtues and what you did for others out of pure love and no other motive. Examine your motives and what drives you…is it love? If not, pray to Him that He gives you a new heart and turn back to Him fully. As the Lord says “Buy of Me fire tried gold and leave the ashes behind.” The earth is about to be tried by fire, love is like gold, it is the only thing that will stand in the judgement. Everything else will be burned to ashes!
- Those who LONG FOR HIS COMING and DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER. If you are a Christian but are wholly consumed by the world and are not concerned by His coming…you will miss the rapture.
“Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father.” (Matt. 7:21)“I tell you in that night there shall be two in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two shall be grinding together, the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two shall be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.” (Luke 17: 34-36)
- Those who are SPOTLESS and WITHOUT BLEMISH.How is this possible as we are all sinners? The Lord Jesus forgives all our sins. Know Him then seek His face daily to become cleansed and transformed. I will write more in the near future about how to be spotless but the bottom line is this: ensure that nothing stands between you and Him. If you sin, repent immediately, don’t let a single minute or even second go by without repenting to Him. You want NOTHING to stand between Him and you. This goes for big sins (adultery, lying, cheating, stealing, drunkenness, harming others) and seemingly small sins (criticizing, judging, being angry, refusing to forgive etc.) . Imagine you have a big grey cloak all around you. It covers every part of your being. The problem is, that cloak should be white! Imagine you clean it a section at a time by washing it in the blood of Jesus which forgives our sins. Every time you sin, another chunk of mud is thrown at your robe. Every time you repent, your robe is washed of that spot. You want to be WHITE AS SNOW.14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:14) (You can read Luke 6: 20 -49, it’s a good start explaining His standards of behaviour!)
- Those who are WATCHING.
34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare
on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these
things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)This is a critical, exciting, and incredibly hopeful verse – it is a promise that it is possible to “escape ALL these things” that will come to pass. Lay ahold of this with all your being and know that if you are sincere and faithful, come what may, the King of Kings will “snatch you up” and take you to an eternity of peace and wonder on a level you cannot imagine is possible. In our current lives we are just passing through. This is a “testing ground” for you to return to your “first estate” and rule and reign with Jesus Christ in the “Heavens”. (Also see Matt 24:36-44 and Mark 13:32-37)
Remember – he is not an angry God condemning you, He is a loving merciful God forgiving you. He WANTS to rapture you. He WANTS to take you out of this hour of trial upon the earth. The lord will decide who to rapture based on people’s hearts and behaviour. Be found ready!!!
10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. 11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. (Revelations 3:10-11) Trust Him and trust in His ways. He knows you, He loves you, turn to Him every minute!
He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cor. 1:8)
